JAMESTOWN — Lucy Falk really can’t be stopped.
Williston found that out on Saturday.
Falk’s 21 kills and five aces helped the Jamestown High School volleyball team defeated the Coyotes 3-1 to improve to 7-4 in the West Region standings. The Blue Jays will be back in action on Oct. 9 hosting Dickinson. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Jerry Meyer Arena.
“We started a little slow today but we got some good momentum in set two and we played a lot more consistently,” JHS head coach Sara Hegerle said. “We have some days off and this will give us time to practice some things we need to get better at. Overall, I thought we competed hard and got after it.”
Along with Falk’s kills. Claire Marker and Claire Iverson combined for 17 kills. Hannah Attleson and Quinn Biloff accounted for 36 assists. Attleson also led the Jays in the back row with 19 digs while Falk, Jetta Peterson and Amelia Newman recorded 16, 14 and 12 digs respectively.
Newman also dominated from the service line with eight aces. Mari Anderson made seven stops at the net.
