CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee, Oct. 3 — The Baylor [Chattanooga, TN] Red Raiders will visit the McCallie [Chattanooga, TN] Blue Tornado Friday night in a battle of Tennessee’s top two high school football teams. McCallie has the lead in the second quarter, 14-7.

McCallie enters the game 5-1 having already pulled off one of the season’s big upsets when they beat the Mission Viejo [CA] Diablos, 25-14, on September 19. Mission Viejo was ranked in the SN Top 25 at the time.

The Blue Tornado are currently ranked No. 45 in the SN Composite Rankings, but the undefeated visitors from The Baylor School are ranked even higher at No. 35. Baylor enters the game 5-0.

And David Gabriel-Georges breaks loose for Baylor on a 51-yard jaunt to the end zone to cut McCallie’s lead in half.

McCallie misses a field goal off the upright. Still 7-0 Blue Tornado in Chattanooga.

Both teams have had a possession, and McCallie just punted after its second possession. The punt hit a Baylor player, and the Blue Tornado recovered deep in the Red Raiders’ territory. Xavier Fillion carries it in from 20 yards out, and McCallie has the early lead.
