Nebraska football makes Top 4 for Cooper Terwilliger

Nebraska football is in the mix for class of 2027 four-star tight end Cooper Terwilliger. Hayes Fawcett made the announcement on Wednesday afternoon. The Michigan Wolverines, Iowa State Cyclones, and Iowa Hawkeyes are the other teams on the list.

Terwilliger is the 158th overall player in the 2027 class, the 10th overall tight end in his class, and the top player in his class from the state of South Dakota per the Rivals industry rankings. He measures in at six-foot-six, 215 pounds.

Terwilliger has visited Nebraska six times, with the most recent visit scheduled for October 4. He has also visited Iowa three times and Iowa State twice.

The Huskers have been very busy in the 2027 class to this point. They currently have four commitments. The class has a total of four commitments and ranks fourth nationally, according to the Rivals Team Rankings. This includes three blue-chip prospects.

Michigan and Iowa are certainly difficult schools to compete with when it comes to tight end recruits. That being said, the Huskers are beginning to feel an impact from the tight end position in their own right.
