Shiloh Christian (AR) leads Fort Smith Southside (AR) 31-10 in 2nd half: Score, live updates of key 6A-West Conference tilt

Two teams with high-powered offenses square off in a key Arkansas 6A-West Conference contest.

Shiloh Christian, from Springdale, travels south to the River Valley to take on Fort Smith Southside, with both teams vying to get a high playoff seed from the conference.

Shiloh enters the game 3-2 and 1-1 in the conference, having outlasted Mountain Home last week, 55-41. The Saints’ only two losses were to defending state champions, 6A champ Greenwood in the 6A-West opener and Oklahoma 3A champion Tulsa Lincoln Christian.

Southside (4-1, 1-1) has already matched its win total from a season ago. The Mavericks are coming off a wild 49-44 win last week at home against Lake Hamilton.

THIRD QUARTER

– Southside keeping a drive alive thanks to an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on a third-down play and a roughing the passer penalty on fourth down.

– TOUCHDOWN AND 2-POINT CONVERSION SHILOH CHRISTIAN. Saints quickly take advantage of the Southside miscue, as Max Eldridge punches it in from 8 yards out; then Westin Huckeba runs it in for the two-point conversion. (Shiloh Christian, 31-10 | 10:14, 3rd)
