Austin FC have booked their ticket to the club's first ever US Open Cup final appearance after a 120th minute winner against Minnesota United in the semi-final Wednesday evening.
Cup drama always tastes sweetest in extra-time, and we got just that when Austin made club history by stunning Minnesota in the dying seconds at Allianz Field.
After a thoroughly entertaining 119 minutes, the semi-final drama was capped off by the unlikely figure of Austin winner CJ Fodrey, who played hero to bundle home a saved effort from close-range and send Austin to the final with nearly the last kick of extra-time.

We looked set for penalties but Fodrey etched his name into Austin and US Open Cup history instead.
